This is a new factory made instrument that is based on an italian model  by G.B Guadagnini.

15.5 viola back, Canterbury Violins

Spruce front and snow maple for the back, sides and scroll, extremely pleasant varnish, very similar to the famous Jay Hayde series. Understated and elegant antique look.

This viola is short in size so is comfortable to play but it is deceptively loud and has a very good dynamic range.

Rarely found quality at this price.
