Large 3/4 double bass based on a Gasparo Da Salo model from Brescia (Ita).
Made in 2007 this is a large orchestral bass.
Silver fir front, maple sides and neck, poplar two-piece flat back.
Based on a brescian model, this instrument has a low arching on the front with no recurve (typical of brescian basses), similar to the shape of a viol front. It also has double purflings on the front and back.
Clear golden varnish and french Mirecourt style tuners.
A big bass, a big sound…
