A 16 1/4″ viola made in 2016.

This is my own instrument design mixing Cremonese and Venician influences.

It is quite a wide instrument (especially the top bout) for extra resonnance but with a fairly short body length for ease of playing.

The front is made of hazel-figured Austrian spruce and the one-piece back, sides and ribs are of broadly flamed Balkan maple.

Antiqued varnish, deep brown over a gold ground.

This is an instrument with a very precise sound and an excellent projection. Extremely fast response and very easy to play, it can bring out a wide and varied  tone palette.
